Governance Officer - ASO6

6 Month Contract Role

Our client has an immediate requirement for a skilled and experienced Governance Officer at the ASO6 level. The ideal candidate will have formal qualifications or demonstrated relevant experience in statistics or accounting.
Specific duties of the role include:

  • Assist in the unit's handling of quality, safety, statistical analysis and risk management functions.
  • Assist with business planning and performance of management reporting requirements.
  • Undertake investigations and audits and critically analyse associated reports and recommendations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive store of information, data and statistics and disseminate such information as required.
  • As required, undertake a range of other project work.

Marketing and Communicatios Manager

Remuneration Package $70 - $75k + NFP Salary Packaging Benefits

A fabulous opportunity has arisen for a Marketing and Communications Manager to work with Indigenous people and communities around Australia. IMF is a DGR registered health promotion charity established in 2010 by world champion marathon runner Robert de Castella, which celebrates Indigenous achievement, resilience and culture to address chronic disease and social issues.

The Marketing and Communications Manager is a critical position within the organisation and works closely with Program Managers and the Fundraising & Partnerships Manager, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

The person appointed to this position will be developing, writing and producing communications material and reports, and will be responsible for the website, social and traditional media content and e-newsletters. The successful candidate will develop and implement marketing and communications strategies and maintain strong media connections across the country.

Skills and experience you will need:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience;
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies, including social media content;
• Excellent writing skills;
• Demonstrated ability to identify and foster key external relationships with event organisers, sponsors, corporates and community groups;
• Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills;
• Media skills including writing media releases and stories;
• The ability to work independently when required, and be an integral part of a small and dedicated team;
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and confident in Wordpress, Adobe Photoshop or similar. Video multimedia editing and production experience would be an advantage.

• Working knowledge/ experience using digital marketing tools to develop e-newsletters, web forms and surveys;
• Experience and ability in report writing and grant submissions;
• A good understanding of, and an interest in health and fitness;
• A passion and a desire to make a difference, especially addressing Indigenous disadvantage and young children and families struggling with lifestyle-related disease;
• A zest for life, and be energetic, confident, reliable, bright, innovative and outgoing.

APS 6 Project Management Position

Non-Ongoing (up to 10 Months)

Our client, a high profile Federal Government Department has an immediate requirement for an APS 6 Project Manager, to work with line divisions, and to broadly assist in project coordination and implementation. The Branch is also currently implementing an online project management solution which will be used to monitor and report on the progress of the implementation.

The ideal candidate for this outstanding opportunity will have experience in the implementation of policies, programs or initiatives; project management and reporting; and government procurement and contract management. You will also need strong communication skills, attention to detail (including experience in producing high-level reports/briefs) and effective writing skills; proficiency in IT systems and applications; and excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well during periods of high pressure and tight deadlines under limited supervision.
