Universities Australia is the peak national body representing Australia's 39 universities.  It is seeking a chartered accountant with experience in the not-for-profit sector to fill a new position - Business Manager, Corporate Services.

As an integral part of the management team and reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the Business Manager will oversee the efficient operations of the organization, be responsible for financial management and reporting (including to the Board) and will provide high level strategic advice to the CEO and Director, Corporate Services.  Daily responsibilities will include managing the finances of the business, including cash-flow projection, P & L's and variance reports, and will also include the development, implementation and management of administrative policies related to best practice financial management.

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar position, demonstrated leadership, ability to interpret financial reports and develop, implement and manage contemporary financial accounting and investment strategies as well as manage full budget, audit and reporting cycles.  CPA or ICA accreditation and relevant tertiary qualifications are required.
