Principal Network Adviser - AGPN

An interesting and diverse role, Principal Network Adviser, Lifescripts, has become available within the Australian General Practice Network (AGPN) - a national Canberra-based organisation established in 1998 to support 111 Divisions of General Practice and 8 State based organisations throughout Australia.

AGPN is funded by the Federal Government to provide leadership, coordination and support services for the General Practice Network.  The internal team comprises core administrative staff, policy advisers and project managers who are highly motivated, adaptable and multi-skilled officers.

PRINCIPAL NETWORK ADVISER

Lifescripts Project

The key purpose of the role is to provide national leadership, assistance and support for the divisions of  the General Practice Network in achieving the aims of the Lifescripts project by promoting and marketing the Lifescript resources and increasing the uptake of the Lifescript products within primary care.

The person appointed to the role will support implementation of the Lifescript project, including management of the project review sub-contractors, and will work with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of new Lifescripts,  by providing support and advice to the Network on implementation of the Lifescripts initiative as well as coordinating and synthesising the views of the Network to contribute to the effective implementation of the project.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in project management, tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as health promotion, public health or nursing, high level communication and presentation skills, highly developed interpersonal skills and a demonstrated experience and ability to work strategically and take a lead role in the development of national primary care.
