Chief Executive Officer

The Primary Industries Education Foundation is a public not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, with tripartite membership covering Primary Industries, Government and Education sectors to encourage increased teaching and learning about Primary Industries in Australian schools.

The Foundation is a member-based organisation working with an extensive network of educators, primary producers and others.   The position of Chief Executive Officer is currently available.

Canberra based (preferably)

The Chief Executive Officer's overall responsibility will be for the day to day implementation of the Foundation's key strategic objectives.  The successful candidate will work closely with national and state educational organisations in association with various primary industry sectors to achieve those objectives.

Applicants must have excellent communication, negotiating and project management skills and demonstrated experience at senior management level.   Tertiary qualifications are essential.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with an appropriate remuneration package,  the opportunity to work in a greenfields situation, whilst making a significant difference to the future of Australian primary industries at the classroom level, with the flexibility to work from home or within a supportive  business environment (either in Canberra or elsewhere within Australia).
