$45,000 base salary + Benefits

CatholicLIFE, a professional service delivery agency that provides support, ministry and formation to the Catholic community, has a permanent position available for a talented multimedia professional who will join their committed team, which is located in the refurbished Rheinberger Centre in Yarralumla.

The Desktop Publishing and Multimedia Officer will be responsible for the development and management of a range of desktop design and web based multimedia resources which support the information and learning needs of the Archdiocese.  Working with an array of internal and external stakeholders, this pivotal role relies heavily on effective program co-ordination, communication and organisation skills.

The successful applicant will have at least one year's relevant experience in the workplace, be degree qualified or have training in multimedia and graphic design, and will be highly proficient in the use of best practice design software packages.  The ability to develop effective designs for a variety of printed and electronic products using packages such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. as well as familiarity with web 2.0 functionality will be highly regarded.   Team orientation, attention to detail, good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the role requires extensive liaison with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.  The successful candidate will also have an understanding of and willingness to embrace the evangelising mission of the Catholic Church.
