The Cooperative Research Centre for National Plant Biosecurity combines the expertise of scientists from a wide range of disciplines who work in federal, state and territory agencies, universities and industry across Australia.
The prime objective of the CRC is to pre-empt and diminish the economic and environmental impact of pests on plant industries by developing and deploying novel technologies and new approaches to biosecurity to advantage Australia's agribusiness, producers and community. Training and Education OfficerThe primary responsibility of the Training and Education Officer is to develop resources, workshops and organise training days, as well as to market and deliver education and training activities, to a broad national audience.
The successful candidate will be a vibrant and enthusiastic professional, who has qualifications in education or training, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills. A good understanding of biological science is also necessary, as well the ability to anticipate, prioritise and work proactively to consistently achieve high level outcomes. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and proactively are of paramount importance. Availability to undertake some regional travel will be important.
