Committee Administrator
  • One day per week (with flexibility to work additional hours during peak workloads)
  • Permanent part-time opportunity

Our client, a not-for-profit business which is integrated into the health system at the Canberra Hospital, has created a new role to support its fundraising activities, which in turn provide grants funding for medical equipment and professional development for hospital staff, as well as delivering a range of services to assist in the care of patents and visitors at the Canberra Hospital.

We are looking for a motivated person with previous secretarial experience and the ability to provide administrative and office management assistance to the Chair and the Committee. The responsibilities of the role are diverse and interesting, and include managing grant submissions, undertaking HR research, dealing with correspondence, liaising with external accountants and auditors, assisting with the preparations for the AGM and the development of the Annual Report.

The work can be undertaken one day per week, preferably each Tuesday, with the ability to work extra hours during peak workloads as required, and may suit a semi-retired person or a person with other commitments.

You will be rewarded with an attractive hourly rate (equivalent to an FTE annual salary of $60,000 inc. superannuation), a professional, yet supportive working environment and the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team, committed to service excellence.

If you have any questions about this very rare opportunity or would like to discuss the requirements of the role prior to applying, please don't hesitate to contact Adam Kowalski on 02 6230 6636.

Applications, consisting of a covering letter outlining why you are the best person for the position, together with your current CV and the contact details of 2 referees should be submitted to by Thursday 22 January 2015.
