Media and Communications Officer

Our client is a high profile not-for-profit Trust, whose strategic priority is to raise awareness and funds to assist in the rescue and care of seriously ill patients.  The business is committed to continually improving and advancing their positive profile and awareness of the service, without compromising the enjoyment and fun the team has in working together.

The opportunity

Based in brand new purpose - built offices and reporting directly to the CEO, the Media and Communications Officer has responsibility for the communication and media relationships of the business, as well as contributing to high level relationship management with the Board, sponsors, ambassadors, volunteers and the general public.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of three years' work experience, including working with social media and publications;

  • Strong relationship building skills;

  • Ability to see the value of strong business relationships;

  • Ability to read people, understand what they need and be able to deliver it for them;

  • Influential and effective writing and communication skills;

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines, influencing all parties along the way;

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations, structure and the needs of the business and partners;

  • Passion for marketing and the design of effective marketing merchandise;

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.

A very attractive remuneration package (around the $65K mark) will be offered the successful candidate, who will be seeking a permanent full time role, and have some flexibility to work outside  the normal Monday to Friday 9–5  work hours.
